To
whom it may concern:
Please,
please, puh-leeeez!!!! Stop your continuous assault on my mailbox
with these incessant offers for more credit cards. I either don't
need or want your services... and if I did, I'D CONTACT YOU OR
MY BANK or get a referral THROUGH A FRIEND or FAMILY MEMBER.
What
other industry conducts their business this way? None. If I wanted
a pizza, I'd call Dominos... I would not need a "time sensitive"
application to be "pre-approved" for an extra large
pepperoni pizza, now would I? A magazine subscription comes close...
but it's a $20-dollar-error worse case scenario.
Having
good credit and keeping it that way is a major responsibility
and should be taken seriously by both customer and lender.
Sending out as many offers as your company does increases the
chances of damaging a person's good credit; stolen applications
are just the beginning! Were you aware that:
- The
average balance on a credit card is $Seven Grand?
-
The average household has 10 credit cards?
- The
average interest rate is 18.9%?
- Credit
card companies solicit the average American 7 times per year
through the mail (way below my norm of about 4 times a week!)?
- Late
fees are now $29.00 plus the componded interest if you keep
a running balance?
- Almost
half the households in America report having difficulty paying
their minimum monthly payments?
- Americans
paid out approximately $65 billion in interest last year alone?
In conclusion,
I insist that you end your systematic raping of the American Dream.
We citizens are getting fed up with corporate entities influencing
our elected representatives. If you continue, then we will be
forced to inflict more creative punishment on your puny heartless
souls... or worse, we'll write Ann Landers!
Subversively
Yours,
Responsible
Consumer
